Rice Products, led by Matthew Rice decided to partner with Solatube once it was clear that Solatube have put a real emphasis on quality; all their daylighting system components are robust and well-constructed. Their main UK website shows many close-up images of the product and components and it is clear to see Solatube is head and shoulders above any other similar system in terms of quality.
Ideal for the Scottish climate
All the best residential daylighting systems have lenses in the dome as they really do help to capture lower level light - important as we get a lot of that in Scotland! The tough polycarbonate domes (required to meet UK Building Regs) are impact-resistant and will stand up to the toughest weather conditions, and a correctly installed Solatube Daylighting System will not leak.
Solatube is the only daylighting system to have BBA Certification
BBA Certification is important because it confirms to us that Solatube's claims with regard to performance and quality have been independently tested and verified. It also confirms that the product is compliant to Scottish building regulations - which is important for the area we cover. BBA certification is also essential for our installations into NHBC projects. Inspections are undertaken at the manufacturing facility each year by the BBA to ensure Solatube's quality standards are maintained.
