Customisable Solatube Options for Flat and Pitched Roofs
Solatube rooflight tunnels—also known as solar tube lights or tubular skylights—deliver natural daylight from your roof directly into your home through highly reflective tubes. Whether you have a flat roof or a pitched roof, our daylighting pipe systems are engineered to suit various property types and lighting needs. We offer two main tubular daylighting devices: • Solatube 160 DS with a 250mm wide tube, ideal for smaller spaces. • Solatube 290 DS with a 350mm wide tube, perfect for lighting larger areas. Both models can be extended up to 9 meters in length, making them suitable for a wide range of ceiling heights and room layouts. For the 290 DS, we also provide a low-profile dome option, offering a sleek and subtle finish that blends beautifully with modern rooflines.

It All Starts with the Domes
Skylight tunnels, also known as sun tubes, use weatherproof domes or collectors that are mounted on the roof to capture sunlight throughout the day. To match up with Solatube Daylighting Systems’ two device sizes, there are different dome options, each of which integrates technologies to maximise the capture of sunlight, even in lower light conditions and geographies. For the larger 290 DS device we also offer a low profile dome for a sleek, unobtrusive look on the roof.

Solatube Leak-Proof Roof Flashings for Flat and Pitched Roof Installations
Solatube daylighting tunnels come with durable, leak-proof flashing systems designed to work with all roof types—whether you have a flat roof or a pitched roof. Flat roofs, typically horizontal or nearly level, require special flashings to prevent water pooling. Pitched roofs, which slope downward for drainage, need flashings that adapt to various angles and materials. From slate and tile to metal and asphalt shingles, Solatube natural light skylight flashings ensure a secure, watertight seal for long-lasting performance.

Stylish Skylight Diffusers for Soft, Natural Light Delivery
Solatube diffusers are the ceiling-mounted light fittings that evenly distribute natural daylight into your home. Available in a variety of stylish designs—both round and square—our diffusers enhance your interior by softening and spreading the light from your natural light skylight, creating bright, comfortable living spaces with a modern finish.
